• FURTHER to D Barnes’s letter about the welcome humanity of allowing Prince Charles to visit his father in hospital (I wish the Duke of Edinburgh the very best, February 25), a BBC presenter took it a stage further by suggesting that the broadcast of the Oprah Winfrey interview with Prince Harry should be put back to spare the old fellow’s feelings.

Equal treatment to all subjects in this case might be harder to achieve.
