• I CAN’T see what Extinction Rebellion are trying to prove by blocking London roads in rush hour, (Extinction Rebellion to shut down Camden Town, June 16).

Why not protest outside the Chinese embassy? They’re the ones reputedly due to build hundreds of coal-fired power stations over the next few years.

What are their back-up plans for all these new onshore wind generators when the wind stops blowing? Lots of activists huffing and puffing behind them or building giant solar-powered fans?
