Who to blame for the low take-up of vaccinations?

• IN the February 5 issue of the Extra, Eddie Nestor is reported as putting blame on the political situation (or something) for the low take-up of vaccinations among ethnic minority groups, including mention of types of employment as a factor, (TV Eddie: ‘Low vaccine take-up is political’).

I am confused why the latter should prevent a person obtaining a jab, any more than a visit to a GP would be a problem for a working person and employers nowadays.

Mr Nestor’s view appears to be a way of moving responsibility away from the individual and his or her community, in the wider sense, and placing it elsewhere.

Is he seriously suggesting that there is some conspiracy of circumstance that prohibits the availability of these vital injections to everyone, including those he presumes to speak for?
