• LIKE many I recall the former pub, the King William IV Grosvenor Road, delivering an eclectic mix of community services and entertainment.

With an excellent, affordable Thai kitchen and weekend open mic nights added to weekday community classes, this pub provided a hub of activity and services for the local community.

Some 10 (ish) years ago the pub was sold and closed with the promise of new flats above and a new restaurant / bar at ground level.

Some work had been completed on the upper storey but has now stalled and no one seems to know what is happening next.
