What are they not telling us about HS2?

HS2: ‘Speak up and stop this lunacy and betrayal of public trust’
• WHY has the government decided to postpone HS2, on the grounds (apparently) that it’s to try to keep costs down? (Fury as – after years of demolition and disruption in Camden – HS2 is delayed to the 2040s, March 16).
And how can HS2 possibly save taxpayers’ money by delaying this pointless white elephant? What this is doing is not only increasing costs due to inflation, but prolonging the utter human misery being inflicted on the people by HS2’s apocalyptic practices (which only your paper seems to be highlighting).
And they are making a mockery of human rights law, which should be there to protect the people from those who mean them harm, and are a threat to their lives; which HS2 is!
So whatever will those conniving, dishonest, disreputable and tainted HS2 slippery eels think of next, to make sure they keep this outdated, and flawed project going? What is it that they’re not telling us, as to why this project must without question go ahead whatever the cost?
And where are our so called leaders who have aided and abetted HS2, doing their dirty work for them, while being paid to supposedly be on the electorate’s side?
Just look at the carnage they have allowed HS2 to bestow upon us all, and there’s still years more agony and destruction to come before HS2 is ever going to be completed, if at all.
We must start taking action to protect ourselves and our children from these dangerous tyrants. And we must ask our leaders what their motive is, that they are so willing and determined that this dangerous project goes ahead.
Relentless cat-and-mouse games are carried out in order to keep this project going, leaving the suffering public in limbo for an indefinite time. They hope they can sneakily bring it back onto the agenda when the calls for it to be scrapped die down.
Why aren’t our leaders helping to prosecute HS2 for human rights abuse? The government and HS2 must be made accountable for all the environmental and human misery they have caused.
And as one MP said, “we should treat the anniversary of the day HS2 was given the go-ahead, as a day of mourning”. Speak up and stop this lunacy and betrayal of public trust.
