THE Hazlitt Society is preparing for its first ever Hazlitt Walk.
The society recognises the work and legacy of William Hazlitt, the Romantic-era writer, drama-critic and political journalist whose grave is in St Anne’s Gardens, Soho, pictured above.
The walk – exploring locations significant to Hazlitt and his peers – meets at the Wheatsheaf pub in Rathbone Place, Fitzrovia, at 2pm on May 6.
The leisurely-paced walk, with stops along the way, will take two to three hours and end at Hazlitt’s Hotel in Frith Street. It’s free for members and £5 for non-members.
Non-members who pay the annual rate of £10 to join the Hazlitt Society will also get a copy of their publication, the Hazlitt Review.
