Trump has been trying to do what he promised

Donald Trump
• MIKE Bor takes Donald Trump to task with various accusations but without, it seems, mentioning that, unlike many of his predecessors, he’s been doing or trying to do what he promised, (Grump Trump will not destroy democracy, November 13).
He has never hidden his lack of belief in the veracity of the mainstream media a coterie of “king-makers” who, with their career-politician chums, have maintained a ceaseless assault on him before and during office, despite which he achieved such a powerful showing in the US election.
I note he has maintained an unusual (for him!) silence since the disputed poll showings and that might be a source of concern for his foes – political and media – as his team accumulate and assess the evidence of any wrongdoing at the polls.
It is reported that a presidential decree in 2018 focused on aspects of “foreign interference / influence” in such matters and it is now alleged that technology used in those elections was not fit for purpose, not least under the terms of that decree.
The legal investigative process is under way, with the former highly respected mayor of New York at the time of 9/11, Rudy Giuliani, at the helm. US politics has always been a “rough and tumble” business. This is no exception.
