I, Claudius is currently being revisited on the BBC

• I ENJOYED Stephen Griffin’s feature about I, Claudius (in the Review, August 24).

Having never seen the series, I treated myself to the box-set during lockdown. To accompany the serious drama, I also ordered the box set of Up Pompeii! starring Frankie Howerd.

Both were a treat and the latter reminded me of my father LOL when one of the parts was played by an actor called Spurious; all good fun, a tonic during our imprisonment at home, if not exactly PC.
