TEAM Camden’s Tom Barnard is the toast of the borough once again after returning to the medal podium at the ParaGames.
The speedy swimmer, who lives in Kentish Town, scooped silver in the 25-metre front crawl at the capital-wide competition, which was staged in Spa at Beckenham last week.
It adds to the gold medal that the Camden Swiss Cottage Swimming Club member won in the same discipline at the Games in 2023.
Ben Dorsett, who is in charge of putting squads together to represent Camden at the London Youth Games, the ParaGames and the School Games, said: “A massive well done to Tom, he put in a fantastic performance. To win back-to-back medals for your borough is a great achievement.”
There are plenty more sports in store for the borough’s young athletes in the coming weeks, including indoor rowing, judo and BMX.
