This is the wrong message from the hospital boss

Thursday, 27th August 2020

• WHILE low-paid, front-line, hospital staff continue to do a wonderful job, highly-paid managers remain all at sea.

Example: Anyone phoning the St Pancras Hospital to ask about existing appointments – whether to turn up or not – has to listen to an overlong recording by the director droning on about coronavirus symptoms.

His message ends without any advice on whether to hold on for a human or hang up and give up. In fact hanging on for an age does eventually raise a helpful operator.

I heard elsewhere that so many people have complained about the director’s insensitive ramble that there is a chance it might be removed and replaced with something more useful.

Presumably the order to get rid of the daft message will have to come from the director himself, which explains why it is still being inflicted on unfortunate callers.

Get a grip, Guv.
