The virus throws up new challenges – think claustrophobia!
Friday, 3rd April 2020
• AS the editor of a mental health newsletter, published under the auspices of the Camden and Islington mental health trust, I think it important to pay tribute to all the clinical and nursing staff who are dedicated to serving people with mental health symptoms at this time.
We also need to remember all the relatives and carers too.
The virus throws up new challenges of which two examples must suffice.
First, among the symptoms of ill health the problems of claustrophobia may be enormous. To be kept in a confined space will be a real challenge.
Secondly, from a societal viewpoint, the closure of all cafés means that those “walking wounded” cannot find another space for a cup of coffee.
Bring on a resolution!
