Newly-named The Kiln Theatre

• I FIND the ongoing protest regarding the Tricycle Theatre’s new name destructive and damaging to the whole ethos of a unique venue, (MP Tulip Siddiq raises concerns over change of name at Tricycle theatre, June 7).

No art institution can stay stagnant. It is the new generation, new vision, and new forces that will carry the theatre forward, and keep it relevant.

The ability to rethink, renew, lead and adapt is vital for the theatre’s survival and relevance. Let us all unite behind the Kiln Theatre. Its future success is also ours and that of the community around it.

May we all meet there together, to celebrate its reopening, and continue to be proud of its work and contribution, for another generation and beyond.
