‘Abolish NHS England and replace it with a democratic structure we all can trust’
• LUCY Letby clearly needs help, not prison. I think we should let it be.
Who in their right mind would commit these acts and allow themselves to be arrested and punished so easily?
I am not condoning her behaviour, just looking at the crimes in the round.
She is said to be emotionless and therefore in psychosis or personality disorder or both. Neither are appropriate conditions for prison as a long-term remedy.
More appropriate is for us to seek the structural reasons for the repeated failure to protect babies.
The clinical staff were threatened to remain silent, resulting in prolonged failure to protect the young victims. Why would threats be issued so forcefully and for so long?
It was a cover-up because some administrative staff would be for the chop. Why would they?
Because the overall leadership is NHS England who have only one goal in mind and that is to do with profits to be gained from undermining NHS staff and institutions which try to prevent privatisation.
It has long been known that our beloved NHS is a thorn in the side of the Tories and NHS England is riddled with Tory bureaucrats.
It set out to make swingeing cuts which have affected performance all over the country, leading to disaffected patients and public, and the perception that the NHS is not fit for purpose.
This decimation of our services makes the NHS a prime candidate for takeovers by the private sector and huge profits for shareholders.
The Lucy Letby scandal is an example of corporate greed allowing murder to affect public perceptions of public services in a bid to take over and destroy them.
Now can we stop accusing the nurse criminal, and see the guilt of the government and its hunger for control over the public purse?
Abolish NHS England and replace it with a democratic structure we all can trust.
