The race for Number 10

• THIS Tory leadership contest is so exciting.

In the right corner… Liz Truss, and in the, er, right corner… Rishi Sunak.

One of them will become prime minister, choose his or her cabinet and, lo, we’ll have a new government. And won’t have had to go to all that hassle of casting a single vote.

And the technical term for this process is “democracy”.
