• WHEN the United Kingdom joined it the European Economic Community had nine member states and was focused on trade and commerce.

Now with 28 members the European Union is behaving more like a nation-state, and some of its leaders want to create an empire.

The EU is undemocratic and will not survive. And the UK is well out of it.

It is good to see some Labour MPs honouring the Labour Party’s pledge to implement the result of the 2016 referendum.

They are subject to outrageous attacks by some colleagues and some sections of the media, which is a disgrace. They represent the true heart of the party.
