The election choice is clear

• THE choice in this general election is clear.

Either we continue with austerity, tax breaks for billionaires, the hostile environment, shrinking the economy, privatising the National Health Service and crash out of the European Union without a deal and eat Trump’s chlorinated chicken under the Tories; or, put an end to austerity and the gig economy, begin to reduce the gap between rich and poor, invest in our infrastructure, the NHS and public services including building council homes, a new green deal creating hundreds of thousands of jobs to tackle climate change and a final referendum with the options of a sensible deal to leave or to remain in the EU under Labour. (Since the country voted to leave the EU in 2016, albeit narrowly, this democratically allows the country to have the final say).

To vote Liberal Democrat is to side with the Tories. In any case, the Liberal Democrats trailed very far behind in both the Camden constituencies in 2017, the last general election, and realistically have no hope of winning either seat, whatever they might (falsely) claim in Hampstead & Kilburn.
