• I’D like to say how much I appreciate and value of your music expert Michael White during Covid-19, especially his weekly picks about what to watch out for and listen to on classical music. They are such a helpful distillation of the enormous amount available.
It’s a shame that physical attendance at concerts, operas, and the like is closed for now, but so useful that you are able in your own way to help music lovers like myself keep an ear and eye on what’s available.
I do also enjoy the other pieces, especially when they link to our area (for example his January 7 piece about Wasfi Kani, whom I also know, is so spot on).
It’s a reminder, never more so than now, that local communities are so important to keep spirits up and cultural life alive.
Thanks for his contributions, be they diary or bigger pieces; it’s nice to see that we have the benefit of his interests and expert eye and ear at the CNJ, the Islington Tribune, and Westminster Extra.
