• CAMDEN & Islington LGBT history month is biggest and best ever.

As LGBT History Month 2022 draws to a close, we look back on a “bumper crop” of talks, walks, poetry, art, drag cabaret and more – all celebrating the diverse talents of our two boroughs.

As social creatures we were pleased to get back together after the hiatus brought by Covid-19.

Attendance numbers – both for online and in-person events – were amazing, indicating ongoing demand for activities which bring enjoyment, challenge and participation and which banish loneliness.

Most events ran at full capacity; 3,000 visited our website and or accessed our weekly e-bulletin and we enjoyed our highest ever levels of engagement on social media.

Thank you to our funders at Camden Council and Islington Council for enabling us to continue to reach out to the community in this way, and to everyone who curated, performed or attended and gave us such positive feedback.

Special thanks to the mayor of Camden Sabrina Francis and to the mayor of Islington Troy Gallagher for getting our opening event off with a flourish and for Troy Gallagher for supporting us through his mayoral charity fundraising.
