Deep clean - Westminster

Major roads will benefit from a deep clean…

• KEEPING the streets of Westminster clean is a top priority for your new Labour-run city council.

That is why we have agreed with our contractor, Veolia, to deploy an additional three “deep-clean” units from this week. These“deep-clean” units will wash down and clean the pavements of major footways.

We plan to have two of the units covering the area north of Oxford Street / Bayswater Road, one in the West End and one in south Westminster. We can also change this around as needed.

This initiative will mean that major footways, such as Queensway, Bayswater Road, St John’s Wood High Street, Edgware Road, Warwick Way and Harrow Road will now receive a deep clean four times a year, rather than once a year.

Over the coming months we will be looking to announce further improvements to keep Westminster’s streets clean.
