Roadworks are preventing essential deliveries

• THERE has been criticism of Westminster City Council’s policy of permitting road works during this ongoing lockdown process – justifiably so, in my own opinion.

Here is the latest example.

Just before the weekend, much of the junction of Seymour Place W1 and York Street W1 disappeared under road works and barricades that totally prevent any access by motor vehicle into this one-way only street.

It’s a situation that presents no help whatever to essential deliveries reaching those – like me – who live in vulnerable status and do our very best to comply with government directions.

Someone at City Hall in Victoria is not getting their act together!
