Stunt is a promotion for documentary

THIS UFO “detector”, above, was searching for signs of intelligent life in Soho.
The stunt this week was a promotion for an independent documentary film Made for Reel that has gone live on Amazon Prime this week.
The film, which has interviews with wonderful characters from a hidden world in the capital, probes the overdevelopment and commercialisation of inner London neighbourhoods.
Largely unscripted and heavily influenced by some of the principles of quantum theory, it won a “best experimental film” accolade at The London Movie Awards in 2022.
Director Jazz Sagar (above) said: “Made for Reel stars Bhasker Patel, Lucy Speed and Mark Silcox and is all about finding the story of identity in areas like Camden and Westminster and within ourselves by exploring quantum strangeness.”
The film is the first in an intriguing trilogy from the film-maker, who works in Soho doing special effects for blockbuster movies.
Sagar’s second doc, Reel Encounters explores issue about identity and whether there is a “mysterious force that connects us all”, including interviews with UFO abductees, a “time-traveller”, psychonauts, remote viewers, tantric goddesses, cyber punks and a psychic spy.
The second film is due out in October.
