Soho is in chaos and our road has been closed almost permanently since January

• I CANNOT believe the amount of noise and disruption Soho residents have had to face because of the huge scale of building works and roadworks taking place.
I am a resident of Hopkins Street and our road has been closed almost permanently since January, alongside the work on Berwick Street, Walker’s Court and now we have to put up with road closures on Broadwick Street.
As it stands, on an average day, we are surrounded by road closures. Hopkins Street, Peter Street, Broadwick and Berwick streets all closed. This is causing sheer chaos.
I cannot remember the last time I was able to walk freely around my neighbourhood without having to dodge large heavy goods vehicles, vans, or Uber drivers having to reverse down streets, driving on the pavements, or even driving the wrong way down roads.
And the communication with the contractors has been awful. We live less than 10 metres from some works and we have received no contact about road closures or works affecting access. The road diversion signs are generally very poor and add to the confusion.
Westminster Council should be doing more to address this situation. I have contacted the council but have received no reply. It really seems Westminster does not care about the residents of Soho.
