• I ENTIRELY agree with Ruth Appleton and her colleagues that allegations of anti-Semitism should not be cause for “muting one’s criticism of Israel’s oppression of the Palestinians”, (Reporting of anti-Semitism dismays us, April 12).

Could they please now enlighten us as to what seems to render them totally speechless when it comes to commenting on the genocidal anti-Semitism of Hamas, Fatah and the “moderate” Palestinian Authority.

Perhaps they think it has nothing to do with the conflict.
