Sinking feeling

• I TOOK the 168 bus into town and, at Camden Town, the bus got so full that by the time it left every seat was full upstairs.
I told the bus driver when I got off that he had made a terrible mistake letting everyone on. He said he couldn’t stop them as they turn aggressive, and I agree with him.
I’ve seen people at Kentish Town bus stops trying to kick in the bus door of a packed No 46 bus in so that they can get on.
After that experience, me and my family visited the British Museum, where a couple were walking around the rooms maskless; and then the National Gallery, where the boyfriend had one on and the girlfriend decided not to wear one.
I have a dreadful feeling that we are sunk again. No surprise though.
