Joshua Bell and the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields are performing the UK premiere of Richard Meyer’s Overture for violin & orchestra at Cadogan Hall this Friday evening (January 12). Meyer is a best-selling Canadian composer and is author of several string method books, including the popular String Explorer series. • Porcupine Productions is performing the seasonal classic Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors at St James’s Piccadilly this Saturday evening (January 13).
