Joshua Bell and the Academy of St Martin-in-the-Fields are performing the UK premiere of Richard Meyer’s Overture for violin & orchestra at Cadogan Hall this Friday evening (January 12). Meyer is a best-selling Canadian composer and is author of several string method books, including the popular String Explorer series. Porcupine Productions is performing the seasonal classic Menotti’s Amahl and the Night Visitors at St James’s Piccadilly this Saturday evening (January 13). Also being performed are Britten’s A Ceremony of Carols and Journey of the Magi.
