‘The foolhardiness of HS2’
• YOUR paper carried an excellent letter from Mimi Romilly about the foolhardiness of HS2, (Scrap HS2 and ban fracking, September 29).
Given the government’s latest series of financial U-turns this matter is now even more pertinent as the huge black hole in our economy would be significantly reduced if the remaining funds earmarked for this white elephant were to be diverted in its direction.
