‘Sadiq Khan has wasted horrific amounts of money’

• SADIQ Khan apparently called Boris Johnson disingenuous for his comments about TfL needing another massive bailout of £2billion.

Sadiq Khan ran tubes every two minutes (certainly the Jubilee line – they pass our garden and I travelled every day) and buses on almost a full normal timetable throughout the lockdown.

All London residents will have noticed that they were almost, or completely, empty and the tube station gates were open, so no one had to pay.

The mayor said that “key workers had to get to work”. Why didn’t he cut tubes down to, for example, six-minute intervals? The very few travellers wouldn’t mind waiting for that amount of time, and the same with buses.

Both are still running with very few passengers for most of the days and evenings. This week I saw two buses with huge signs on their front windows saying “full”. Yet they had one passenger each.

Get a grip of TfL, Sadiq Khan. You have wasted horrific amounts of money. Why?
