THERE are three days left to nominate a departed musical figure or London place that has influenced the city’s musical landscape to be immortalised with a blue plaque in their name. To mark BBC Music Day 2017, BBC Radio London will unveil an official Blue Plaque to commemorate the chosen singers, musicians, song-writers or producers from any genre of music or significant locations which have played a big part in London’s musical heritage. • Nick Hornby hosts his second night of music and conversation at Spiritland on Feb 27, this time in conversation with Ben Bailey Smith, aka rapper, actor and author Doc Brown.

• Mac de Marco plays a solo acoustic gig at Nambucca on March 1.

• Moscow-born singer Daria Kulesh launches album Long Lost Home, about reconnecting through music with her grandmother’s estranged family in Ingushetia (in south Russia), at Cecil Sharp House on Feb 23.

• The Lockside Lounge’s latest club night, Slipped Disco, launches on Feb 23 with Justin Robertson (Deadstock 33s) and Ben Osborne (Big Chill/ Noise of Art).

• Thanks to Smash Hits song sheets, I will forever remember the lyrics to countless songs. Tanita Tikaram’s 1988 hit, Twist In My Sobriety, is still in my mind. The singer plays Barbican on Feb 24.

• Toothless, aka Ed from Bombay Bicycle Club, plays The Lexington on March 1 with support from Liz Lawrence and Chelou.

• Blair Dunlop performs a stripped-down version of his favourite tracks from his last three albums at Cecil Sharp House on Feb 25.

• Sean Taylor launches new album Flood & Burn at The Green Note London Sunday, February 26.
