• NOTWITHSTANDING  all the hype surrounding the local elections, there is undoubtedly cause for alarm in its results. The danger signal I see is that ordinary people simply do not care any more.

Their apathy is the result of the half-hearted utterances of politicians whose speciality these days is not saying anything that might commit them to actually doing something.

And that is because they know that the small amount of people power we once had has long since been handed over to billionaires and corporates.

Revolution is probably the only way we’re going to get that back now. And that’s not going to be a walk in the park for any of us.
