Hive City Legacy is an explosive celebration

A BUZZ fills the air as magnificent femme performers dominate the stage, each bringing something different to the space and yet united in their talent and refrain: pollinate, activate, liberate.

Tales from across the diaspora are brought to us via dance, singing, voguing, spoken word, and, at one point, even an emotive two-person aerial dance.

The stunningly executed ensemble combine with outstanding solo performances to underline the message of the piece – “we are all black women, but we are all different”.

Covering issues from mental health to marginalisation, Hive City Legacy is an explosive celebration that effectively harnesses the potential of a moveable stage and interactive sound to keep an audience enraptured.
