The Paddington Service of Remembrance will be at 2.30pm on Sunday at the Lancaster Gate War Memorial

• THIS Sunday November 14 we will be remembering the men and women of Paddington who gave their lives for democracy in two world wars and in subsequent conflicts.

The Paddington Service of Remembrance will be at 2.30pm at the Lancaster Gate War Memorial and will be conducted by Father Paul Thomas, Vicar of St James’s Church, Sussex Gardens. The Lord Mayor and councillors will attend.

We are privileged to pay homage to all those who fought and died for democracy and for our country. The brave men and women of Paddington bequeathed us the longest period of peace and the greatest prosperity our citizens and our continent have ever known.
