Remembering the generosity of John le Carré
Thursday, 17th December 2020
• EVER since the day it was formed John le Carré was an enthusiastic and loyal supporter of the Keats Community Library.
I remember a few years ago asking whether he could come and give a talk at the library.
He replied that he was unable to accept my invitation as he was ensconced in Cornwall writing his next novel.
A few days later a parcel arrived containing all 27 novels as a gift to the library.
