Not Loving You, by Baba Ali

THIS first solo project from New Jersey’s Baba Ali sounds like it should be coming from someone with many years on the singer. Seeped in retro soul, against a powerful, bluesy vocal chant, rising claps and brooding guitars, Not Loving You, from EP Nomad, is incendiary. Ali has more recently moved to London to study fine art and launches his EP at The Waiting Room on March 1.
