Reach for the tube map!

‘Perhaps there’s a whole network of secret tube lines…’
• THE Elizabeth line is planned to open in part on May 24 (from Paddington to Abbey Wood).
I am yet to see a new issue of the pocket-size tube map, showing the new part-open Elizabeth line and the reopened Bank branch of the Northern line (from May 16).
However, the map online of the Elizabeth line shows Liverpool Street as being served by five tube lines, including the Northern line, whereas the January 2022 issue of the tube map correctly shows Liverpool Street is served by four tube lines but not the Northern line.
Checking online, so as to make sure I was not being a silly old fool, the first results of my search for “Northern line Liverpool Street” were for Liverpool Lime Street station and the Northern Railway, nought about the “Misery line”.
Perhaps, during the Bank branch closure, Transport for London has constructed a secret branch line from near Bank station to Liverpool Street Station. Londoners should be told.
Indeed, perhaps there’s a whole network of secret tube lines, including one that takes London mayor Sadiq Khan from Angel to Los Angeles.
When the mayor emerges back on the surface, and again walks the streets of London, it would be good were he to talk tube lines instead of talking about lines of “stuff”!
