Doctors need a catch-up

• JUNIOR doctors are a vital body of professional people who are striking because their pay has not been increased in proportion to others. They have fallen behind and want to catch up.

Let us think for a moment of their responsibilities and compare with other well-known individuals who are paid massively more.

A competent government would negotiate endlessly and an agreement reached. This incompetent government would rather lose these valuable doctors to Australia where they are treated with the respect they richly deserve.
