PADDINGTON creator Michael Bond, who died in June aged 91, left us with a wonderful legacy in his beautifully told and gentle stories of his Peruvian bear.
And this year films pays homage to his creation, not just through telling a another generation of the charm of his furry friend – but by the locations that film firm Studio Canal chose to use.
Bond lived for many years in the Little Venice area and the new film features various haunts of Paddington’s creator. One chase scene has the bear dashing along the towpath near where Bond spent many happy years walking and musing on his stories – a nice touch, you will agree.
