Online we are easier targets

• AS I walk to the supermarket each day I see an extended queue snaking around the corner of my local bank.

Visits to the post office entail a long queue. These queues are a visual demonstration of the fact that we are not all “online”.

Whether it is shopping, banking, or posting parcels many people need a “bricks and mortar” building and “face-to-face” interaction.

The plans to make us a “cashless” society, dependent on the internet, will make us easy targets for sophisticated tech companies and their marketing strategies, allow fraudsters greater opportunity to steal from us, and disenfranchise millions of us.
