Online business foists a disability on the elderly

• SOME of those companies that rightly boast about wheelchair access and other such laudable facilities are at the same time actually disabling a great cross-section of people.

I refer to companies whose websites are impossible to use once a purchase has been made. Phone lines are either not given or tucked away.

And where numbers are given, a very long wait while being blasted with loud, terrible music ensues. You can’t beat that for a sense of utter powerlessness.
