Now we’re sleepless in Soho…

Soho empty street_4730

• ENOUGH…

I have lived in Soho for nearly 35 years and have never known anything like this.

It’s been over a month now that Soho’s residents have endured sleepless nights as a result of this ill-advised street “festival” marking the reopening of pubs and restaurants that Westminster City Council has allowed through, despite a great many concerns raised.

As if the illegal raves aren’t enough, fleets of minicabs and pedicabs’ armed with speaker stacks that would rival your average heavy metal gig, patrol our streets until three or four in the morning.

Inaction in dealing with this particular problem over the years, has now come to a head.

Ill-mannered, attention-seeking, young men, who rev up cars with throaty exhausts and motorbikes that backfire relentlessly by design, are also allowed to patrol the streets unchecked.

This has got to stop. Life here is becoming unbearable.
