Not looking forward to the easing of lockdown here

‘I am sorry to say that I am dreading the easing of lockdown this summer’
• AS a long-standing Soho resident, I am sorry to say that I am dreading the easing of lockdown this summer.
I am not alone… Despite our concerns for the survival of our much-loved local pubs and restaurants, the “party central” message that went out last year, was an ill-thought out nightmare.
Already boom-boxed mobile disco pedicabs, the plague of the West End, are turning up the heat and getting increasingly loud and aggressive.
Again, I don’t understand why, despite several attempts to pass a bill through parliament to properly regulate this public menace, nothing gets through.
Unlicensed, unregulated, uninsured, a public health noise problem, tourist rip-off, and totally ignorant of the Highway Code, they are openly flouting all that is reasonable. This has to change.
Soho residents have been tormented by this public health hazard for long enough. Too many sleepless nights. This needs to stop now. If not, why?
