C11 bus

‘I rely on buses running on time and continuing to their advertised destination’

• I HEARTILY agree with your anonymous correspondent’s comment (An open letter to TfL about the C11 bus, February 2) on the government’s “levelling up” cash being “wonderful for the fit, young, guys there…”.

The TfL message on the C11 bus stop outside the school on Highgate Road advises the C11 will be on diversion until March.

I went, as directed, to the stop by the Ivy pub for the diverted C11, only to watch it turn left out of Gordon House Road, keeping to its normal route.

Never mind the passengers!

At 81 I am in good health but rely on buses running on time and continuing to their advertised destination.

Too many times in recent months, an announcement telling passengers on 390s the “destination has changed, please listen out for further announcements” means being turfed off because they need to shorten their journeys to level out the service.

Never mind the passengers!

Recently the wait for a 390 was for over 20 minutes. I took a passing taxi – at £14 – rather than be late for a hospital appointment.
