This is a wedding that delights the world.
This is a wedding that unites the world
Because it spans

An ocean and two disparate narratives
Incarnate in this couple’s separate lives
That their clasped hands

Conjoin but do not cause to disappear
Because there is no reason now to fear
New points of view,

Which gives support to what our hearts believed:
That a domain of peace might be conceived
Between us too!
