THE Camden Fringe continues… Spud Theatre’s adaptation of Sheridan Le Fanu’s 19th-century novella Carmilla is at the Little Angel Theatre until August 20. An early work of vampire fiction, it predates Bram Stoker’s Dracula by 26 years. The story is narrated by a young woman who is preyed upon by a female vampire named Carmilla. camden.ssboxoffice.com

A classically trained cellist, an improv-trained comedian, and a seasoned performer, Karen Hall fuses her artforms together into a one-woman show, Delusions and Grandeur, contemplating perfectionism, expectations, and failure. • Based on Zara Phillips’ book, Somebody’s Daughter explores the complexity of having four parents, becoming a mother, and learning to navigate it all. Zara was a backing singer in the 80s and still performs with folk legend Richard Thompson, who will be providing live music for the show. Aug 20-21. In Rajesh and Naresh, Rajesh meets Naresh in a steamy Mumbai nightclub. Naresh is an awkward yet endearing craftsman – and definitely not the wife Rajesh’s mother hoped he’d find. This queer, heart-on-its-sleeve romcom is set just after India’s landmark decriminalisation of homosexuality in 2018. 9pm, Aug 21-23 Billed as wacky, wonderful and weird, Frydays is a musical comedy about family, friendship and fish and chips. Louis Turner and Madeline Hatt write and star as twins Chris and Chriss, who inherit a fish and chip shop. They lock themselves inside a freezer and refuse to engage with the outside world. Crone, a collaboration between Liam Webber and musician Daniel Potts, is an immersive show that’s different every night. Spells will be cast, rituals performed and fortunes told… The show weaves together improvisation, storytelling, audience readings, and technical trickery.
