Kieran Dee’s one-man show, Hematoma, is at the Lion and Unicorn

THE Ballad of Corona V – The Remix, written by David Watson with music by Jammz, is a free-wheeling, angry satire performed by professional actors and care-leavers. The show takes audiences on a promenade, socially distanced journey through The Big House building in Islington, presenting snapshots of the past year through the eyes of London’s young people. Psychodrama, written and directed by Matt Wilkinson, performed by Emily Bruni, is a witty, revenge tale about an actress in her 40s under investigation for the murder of an auteur theatre director. • The Hannah Coffin Ship by John Dunne, the true story of a coffin ship which transported agricultural tenants and their families from famine-torn Ireland to the New World in 1849, is at the Etcetera Theatre, 7pm, June 4-6. Tel: 020 7482 4857

• Dante or Die’s Skin Hunger, three monologues written by Ann Akin, Tim Crouch and Sonia Hughes, directed by Daphna Attias, explores touch – a vital aspect of humanity that many of us didn’t realise we needed until it was restricted. This socially distanced installation invites three audience members at a time into a hidden chapel in London’s West End. Three performers swathed in plastic; three intimate one-on-one experiences. The Almeida Theatre has announced its 2021 season: First up is the world premiere of and breathe… a theatrical adaptation of Yomi Sode’s poetry collection, Manorism. Directed by Miranda Cromwell and performed by David Jonsson, it runs from June 16-July 10. Other highlights include: The Tragedy of Macbeth, directed by Yaël Farber with James McArdle and Saoirse Ronan making her UK stage debut. A revival of Spring Awakening, the award-winning musical by Steven Sater and Duncan Sheik, directed by Rupert Goold; and The Key Workers Cycle – a collection of new plays by Francesca Beard, Sonali Bhattacharyya, Josh Elliott, Annie Jenkins, Eno Mfon, Nessah Muthy, Danusia Samal, Yomi Sode and Molly Taylor celebrating the stories of those who keep our daily lives running.
