AT the Arcola Theatre, Sam Potter’s The Unicorn is described as a darkly comic portrait of a woman driven to extremes. After life takes an unexpected turn, Andrea attempts to combat her loneliness through casual sex, but this becomes a compulsion as she progresses from serial dating to anonymous sex parties. Until June 24. Sasha Hails’ Possession, interweaves the stories of four mothers set in the Democratic Republic of Congo, and Victorian and present-day London. Kasambayi, recently arrived from the DRC, starts her contractions on the No 38 bus at Clapton Ponds. She names her daughter Hope.
