THE Dastardly Murder of the Chocolate Soufflé is at the Rosemary Branch Theatre until August 27. In a 1950s English countryside home, Walter, Lucy and Desiree rehash the night of their father’s funeral as they puzzle over the shocking disappearance and suspected murder of their mother. At the Hen and Chickens, Umbra Incarnate merges Greek mythology with shadow theatre and puppetry in a play that explores the fate of survivors of sexual assault and the rediscovery of their voice. It follows the decisions Jamie has to make regarding love, strength, and forgiveness. 4.30pm, August 26-28. Wonder in Aliceland is a semi-autobiographical piece about two close female friends navigating life through their late 20s to early 40s. • The Street’s on Fire presents contemporary artwork from Myanmar at the Camden Open Air Gallery until August 28. It features live performance, experimental music, poetry and a guest appearance from Rap Against Junta. Photographs, video installations and street art highlight the creative action of a new generation of young people who stand firm in the face of brutal suppression.
