Look where the Russians’ money is going

Prime minister Boris Johnson
• BORIS Johnson is not known for the truth. His promises to build 40 new hospitals, spend £34billion on the National Health Service and £14billion on education have all been discredited.
He accuses Jeremy Corbyn of siding with Russia – “he wouldn’t even stick up for this country when it came to the Salisbury poisonings”.
But it is Johnson who refuses to publish a report into Russian interference in the 2016 European Union referendum and the 2017 general election.
The chairman of parliament’s intelligence and security committee said there was no legitimate reason for delaying the publication, and that voters had a right to see it before going to the polls.
We know that Russian funders, some with links to president Vladimir Putin, have donated generously to the Conservative party: £3.5million since 2010.
Between November 2018 and October 2019, the Tories received at least £489,850 from Russian donors. In 2014 one donor even paid £160,000 just to play tennis with Johnson and David Cameron. Why are powerful Russians so interested in donating to Johnson?
Shadow chancellor John McDonnell said that a third of United Kingdom’s billionaires have donated to the Tories, and that the government is on course to hand out £100billion in tax breaks and other giveaways by 2023/24.
So these are not “donations” but investments. Captain Ska puts Johnson to music: “He’s a liar, liar, you can’t trust him, no, no, no!
