Lockdown causes ‘psychological damage, and more stress to your immune system’
• LOCKDOWN is the worst thing that you can do for combating Covid-19.
It is predicted the next lockdown could cause the deaths of 75,000 citizens, owing to lost doctors’ appointments and treatment of cancers, heart disease, diabetes, mental health, suicides, bronchitis, infections, and general down-spiral of public health, because of fear of going to see the doctors or visiting hospitals.
It causes fear, isolation, loneliness, anger, frustration and anxiety. Not good for the immune system for fighting any virus.
Add to that the wearing of a mask, which causes hypoxia, a deficiency in oxygen in the blood and your breathing in carbon dioxide and less oxygen, not good for this respiratory virus.
That’s why it’s such a relief when you take the mask off. You breathe better.
Try taking an exam for an hour, first half-hour wear a mask, second half wear no mask; see the difference. With less oxygen and more carbon dioxide in the blood you are more likely to become confused, less aware, react slower, think slower.
Add that to wearing a mask when driving a car, which I see people doing. And when a lockdown ceases, and people’s immune systems have been depleted, they are more likely to become infected with Covid-19.
Add to that the destruction of the economy, businesses failing, job losses, more fear, more anxiety, more frustration, and psychological damage, more stress to your immune system. That’s why Sweden has limited lockdown with likely a small or no second wave pending.
