• SO having commandeered public space for private profit at no expense to themselves during the social hysteria contagion, the hospitality industry is lobbying hard to make this permanent and the letter from the Soho Society is a timely reminder of the necessity for eternal vigilance as rogue councillors and officials attempt to oblige by bulldozing through proposals to turn Soho into a cacophonous, piss-drenched hell-hole, (Delay to the ‘Vision for Soho’ raises serious questions, March 25).

Business rates should have been increased and council tax reduced last time around to compensate residents for being excluded from streets they pay to maintain… and it must not happen again.
