CONGRATULATIONS and be prosperous, that’s the message from this year’s Chinese New Year celebrations.

There were a host of activities and foodie treats in Chinatown, family-friendly entertainment in Leicester Square, stage performances in Trafalgar Square and a pop-up family corner in Dean Street and Shaftesbury Avenue.

On Sunday the Lord Mayor of Westminster joined the crowds and performers to celebrate the Year of the Horse.

Mayor Paul Dimoldenberg said: “It was fantastic to join the lunar new tear parade and see everyone come together in such a vibrant celebration. I want to thank all the performers, volunteers, organisers and crowds for making the day so special.

“Wishing all who celebrate a joyful, healthy, and prosperous Year of the Horse.
